Super Antioxidant, Energy, Immune System
Astaxanthin is extracted from the Haematococcus pluvialis algae. Standardized to 6 mg per capsule and supplemented with buffered turmeric and vitamin C, this complex is a unique combination with high bioavailability. The possible uses are diverse. This is one reason why many nutrition experts and doctors recommend supplementing our diet with antioxidants.
Astaxanthin
First, the algae is green (it is actually a green algae), but when it is exposed to stress – for example, due to nutrient deficiency and increased UV radiation – it forms astaxanthin for its own protection, which accumulates in it and gives it its red color. The final stage is then a dormant state in which the cell remains and waits for an improvement in living conditions. The astaxanthin most likely serves to protect against UV radiation and thus ensures its survival. Astaxanthin is then extracted at this stage.
Turmeric
Turmeric has long been used in Ayurvedic tradition and is considered the miracle root among ginger plants due to its diverse applications.
