The first 100% purely plant-based and gluten-free complete food VEGDOG Senior No. 1 by Younikat was developed over a one-year development phase in collaboration with specialist veterinarians and laboratories. It is a vegan, needs-based food for older dogs. It is optimally adapted to the needs of dogs aged 7 and over, who, due to their age, have lower energy requirements and increased nutrient requirements. Also suitable for overweight dogs. Soy pot with potatoes, millet, carrots, zucchini, algae and chia seeds.
Soy has an optimal amino acid profile and is therefore an excellent source of protein for dogs. Other important nutrients are provided by ingredients such as potatoes, lentils, and spinach. Chia seeds have a positive effect on the cardiovascular system and digestion. The algae used (EU origin) provide essential fatty acids EPA and DHA, which are important for healthy cell function. In addition, these have an anti-inflammatory character and help in the development of the nervous system. Supplementing the food is a mineral supplement, which ensures optimal coverage of requirements. It is particularly suitable for food intolerances to animal protein and for exclusion diets.
The soy products come from regional cultivation (Germany, Austria) and are GMO-free. Soy has an optimal amino acid profile and is therefore an excellent protein source for dogs. Other important nutrients are provided by ingredients such as potatoes, carrots, and zucchini. These ingredients are particularly easy to digest and therefore ideal for older dogs. In addition to numerous positive properties of chia seeds, they can improve concentration in senior dogs. The algae used (EU origin) provide essential fatty acids (EPA and DHA), which are important for healthy cell function. Older dogs in particular benefit from the anti-inflammatory effect of these substances, e.g. in cases of joint diseases.

In addition, the food contains a mineral supplement, which ensures optimal coverage of requirements. It is particularly suitable for food intolerances to animal protein and for exclusion diets.

Important note: Not suitable for puppies and lactating bitches, as they have increased nutrient and energy requirements.

Please ensure a slow food transition over 3 weeks. Gradually reduce the usual food and replace the amount with the chosen VEGDOG variety. For nutritionally sensitive dogs, you should take a little more time (at least 4 weeks). Please note that in the first few weeks after the changeover, there may be a change in the amount and consistency of feces, as well as increased gas formation. However, this should decrease after the transition period and disappear completely after a few more weeks. Please always provide fresh water for your dog.
